There are a lot of great things that you can do with iMessage. Here are some tricks that can help you get the most out of this messaging app:

1. Use iMessage to send GIFs:

You can easily find and send GIFs through iMessage. Press the “I” button in the app and select the “Images” option. From there, you can choose from a library of GIFs or search for something specific.

2. Add contacts to your Favorites:

If you message certain people more often than others, you can add them to your Favorites list in iMessage. This will make it easier to find them when you want to message them. To do this, press on the contact’s name in a chat and then select the “Add to Favorites” option.

3. Access additional apps through iMessage:

You can add other applications to iMessage to access them when you’re messaging someone. Some popular options include games, stickers, and packs of emojis. To do this, swipe to the left side of your screen while inside a chat and tap the “+” button. From there, you can browse a list of available apps and add those that appeal to you.

4. Keep conversations private with end-to-end encryption:

If you want messages kept completely private between yourself and another person, ensure your conversations are end-to-end encrypted. To do this, open a chat and tap the “Details” button in the top-right corner. You can enable or disable end-to-end encryption for that particular conversation from there.

5. Use iMessage to send payments:

If you’re using iMessage with iOS 11 or later, you can send payments to other people. This is a great way to split a bill or pay someone back for something quickly. To do this, press the “+” button inside a chat and select the “Apple Pay” option. From there, you can choose an amount and send it off.

6. Take advantage of iMessage’s interactive features:

iMessage has a few interactive features that you can take advantage of. For example, you can long-press on a message to include options like copy, reply, and more. You can also 3D Touch on messages (if your device supports it) to preview them without actually opening them.

7. Use iMessage to share your location:

If you’re meeting someone and want them to know exactly where you are, you can use iMessage to share your location. To do this, press the “+” button inside a chat and select the “Share My Location” option. You can choose how long you want to share your location from there.

8. Disable read receipts:

If you don’t want the other person in a conversation to know when you’ve read their messages, you can disable read receipts for that conversation. To do this, press the “Details” button inside a chat and then scroll down until you see the option to turn off “Send Read Receipts.”

9. Use iMessage as a walkie-talkie:

If something needs to be said quickly but doesn’t necessarily warrant a full-fledged message, iMessage has an option too! Press the “+” button inside a chat and select the “Walkie Talkie” option. From there, you and the other person can press a button to talk and release it to listen.

10. Use iMessage to find restaurants and businesses:

If you’re looking for somewhere to eat or a specific business, you can use iMessage to help you find it. Press the “+” button while inside a chat and then select the “Maps” option. From there, you can type in what you’re looking for and get directions from within iMessage.
