First, open the Messages app and find the conversation that contains the message you want to delete.
Step 1:
Next, tap and hold on to the message you want to delete. A pop-up menu will appear.
Step 2:
Tap on the “More” option. A second pop-up menu will appear. Tap on the Undo button. It looks like an arrow curving to the left and is in the bottom left corner of your screen by default.
Step 3:
You may also notice that a Cancel button has appeared at this point as well. If you change your mind and decide not to delete the message, you can tap on the Cancel button to cancel the action.
Step 4:
Once you tap the Undo button, the message will be deleted from the conversation and replaced with a placeholder saying, “This message was deleted.” The person who received the message will not be notified that the message has been deleted.
